Risk assessments
These look in more detail at the installation with regards to risk, evaluating all kinds of factors like the type of flooring, type of property, presence of other tradesmen, client employees or customers and all kinds of health and safety legislation relating to tripping hazards, tidy work areas and so on.
Establishing any unnecessary risks before the work even starts the assessment enables us to think our way around problems without committing anyone to a dangerous situation.
Method statements
These require us to think through every aspect, stage and process of any floor fitting to identify any potential problems and exactly how we will go about our work, always copied on to our clients for their similar consideration these documents are an essential way of ensuring everyone knows exactly what’s happening during a project.
Much of our work is based in the commercial sector where such things are widely expected essentials, however we apply as much safety concern to our domestic installations as well; for us, safety is easily as important as work quality and scheduling and we aim to get all three right without compromising the others.
